Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Somebody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Burov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Somebody! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pavel Burov! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Somebody fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Burov sprawls well initially but Somebody persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Somebody is keen to just control but Burov is a slippery customer. Burov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Somebody is working for a submission of some sort.
Somebody is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Somebody looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Burov clinches up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Somebody is trying to drag Burov to the mat but Burov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Somebody goes for a takedown in the clinch but Burov prevents it.

Burov lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Somebody turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Somebody manages to end up in side control. Somebody tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Burov has one of Somebody's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Somebody's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Somebody wants to pass to mount but Burov is defending the position. Somebody is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burov sees it coming and defends easily. Burov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Burov. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Burov can't keep his opponent in guard - Somebody advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Somebody wants to work for an arm triangle but Burov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Somebody is working for a submission of some sort.
Somebody is working for an americana but Burov has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Somebody was thinking about the submission. Somebody is breathing heavily. Somebody won't allow Burov to sweep him here. Somebody throws a strike but Burov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Somebody will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Burov rushes Somebody and presses him up against the cage. Burov stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Burov cracks Somebody with a nice body shot. Burov pressing his opponent against the cage. Somebody fails to pull guard.

Somebody tries to land a sweep but no joy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Somebody preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Burov landing with the ground and pound. Somebody looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burov is one step ahead there. Somebody keeping moving, preventing Burov from controlling successfully. Somebody can't keep his opponent in guard - Burov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Burov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Somebody's head. Burov is trying to control. Somebody wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Somebody works his way to full guard. Good work. Burov controls from within his opponent's guard. Burov tries to free his leg and advance position but Somebody is retaining full guard. Somebody tries to land a sweep but no joy. Burov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Somebody working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Somebody looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Burov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Burov tries to free his leg and advance position but Somebody is retaining full guard. Somebody working for a triangle but Burov defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Somebody cracks Burov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Somebody moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Burov has worked his arm free - good work by Burov!
Somebody passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Burov! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Somebody goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Burov is on top in guard.
Burov wants to control from the top but Somebody keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pavel Burov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That sent Somebody stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nice sprawl there from Burov as Somebody shoots in. Somebody fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. He hasn't managed just yet though. Somebody wants to get back to full guard but Burov has passed into side control. Somebody working to try and regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Somebody is working hard here to advance position. Burov is in the full mount, landing strikes. Burov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Somebody is looking to escape. Burov content just to control the position here.

And that's the end of the fight! Pavel Burov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Burov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
