Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chip Chap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pau Nadal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pau Nadal will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chip Chap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pau Nadal! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nadal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nadal scores a takedown into full mount! Chap really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Chap on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chap tries to get out of the position. Nadal controlling the position easily from mount. Nadal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chap looks a forlorn figure.

Chap passes Nadal's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chap looking for a submission but Nadal manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Chap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nadal on the ground. Nadal trying to keep a closed guard but Chap is proving a slippery customer.

Nadal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nadal! Nadal is looking to take a break and control but Chap is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nadal scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chap to see if he's OK. Nadal moves into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chap tries to reverse the position but Nadal maintains control. Chap is breathing heavily. Nadal controlling the pace for now. Nadal trying to control but Chap is having none of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Pau Nadal just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chap gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nadal counters with a nice double leg into guard. Nadal is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nadal's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Nadal scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chap had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nadal defends it easily. Chap keeping moving, preventing Nadal from controlling successfully. Nadal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nadal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nadal gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nadal with a lazy takedown attempt and Chap counters with a shoot takedown. Nadal fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nadal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chap regains control of the situation pretty easily.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Nadal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chap has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nadal has managed to get both his arms back between Chap's legs - danger averted. Nadal won't allow Chap to sweep him here. Nadal controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pau Nadal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Chap's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nadal is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nadal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chap's waist but Chap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nadal off to one side. Chap tries to clinch and Nadal counters with a single leg into guard. Chap didn't expect that. Nadal trying to control but Chap is working from the bottom. Nadal looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Chap working for a triangle but Nadal defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nadal wants to control from the top but Chap keeps moving. Chap looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nadal is one step ahead there. Chap keeping moving, preventing Nadal from controlling successfully. Nadal is working Chap over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Chap slaps away a takedown attempt from Nadal, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nadal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chap as he jumps to the side. Chip Chap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pau Nadal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nadal looks for a takedown but Chap sprawls well. Nadal gets caught flat footed, as Chap shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Chap has gone for a leg lock! Nadal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chap's guard. Nadal is stalling in the full guard. Pau Nadal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chap is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Chip Chap has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nadal trying to control the position from guard on top but Chap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Pau Nadal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nadal winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
