Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Nakamura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Jackson! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson has a takedown stuffed. Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nakamura. Nakamura throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Nakamura tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. Nakamura can't escape the position.

Nakamura is looking to improve his position but Jackson isn't that keen on the idea. Jackson controlling his opponent. Nakamura tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson controlling from mount. Nakamura in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nakamura can't escape the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Greg Jackson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Left hook, right uppercut from Nakamura.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nakamura napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jackson in side control, just content to control the action for now. I looks like Jackson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Nakamura tries to improve position but can't. Jackson tries to advance to mount but Nakamura denies him. Nakamura is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Jackson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jackson prefers to stall for the moment though. Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nakamura to see if he's OK. Nakamura prevents Jackson from moving into mount. Jackson is staying tight to Nakamura's torso, preventing him from escaping. Nakamura wants to control but Jackson postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson takes a little break here. Nakamura wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura is looking for a sweep. Nakamura is working hard here to advance position. Jackson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nakamura's legs. Jackson staying calm. Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jackson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Nakamura throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Nakamura tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nakamura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson cracks Nakamura with a big right hand but Nakamura just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Nakamura tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nakamura misses with a low kick.

Tatsuya Nakamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nakamura throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson shoots in and bounces Nakamura off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamura swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakamura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Nakamura wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment. Nakamura has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though. Nakamura can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace. Nakamura keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jackson stacks Nakamura on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jackson! Jackson controlling from side mount. Nakamura is looking to reverse the position. Jackson controls the position. Nakamura prevents Jackson from moving into mount. Jackson taking a breather here.
