Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob MacGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Potts is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob MacGregor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Potts! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MacGregor sprawls well initially but Potts persists and gets the takedown into half guard. MacGregor gets full guard. MacGregor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. MacGregor is trying to keep Potts in close.
MacGregor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. MacGregor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Potts won't allow MacGregor to sweep him here. Potts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacGregor trying to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Potts shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with MacGregor but MacGregor pushes him off and we're back to square one. MacGregor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Potts counters with a single leg into guard. MacGregor didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacGregor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Potts trying to control the position from guard on top but MacGregor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Potts would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. MacGregor throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Potts stands up over MacGregor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Potts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. MacGregor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Potts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Potts trying to control but MacGregor is working from the bottom. MacGregor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed MacGregor's guard. MacGregor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Potts's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Potts's back! Potts tries to break free.
MacGregor is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Potts is defending well though. MacGregor let's go of the attempt for now. MacGregor is breathing heavily. MacGregor controlling well, preventing Potts from escaping the position.

Potts rolls, trying to escape but MacGregor keeps control of the position.
MacGregor not allowing Potts to control his hands. MacGregor is trying to stick to Potts's back but Potts is turning into MacGregor. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in MacGregor's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Potts. MacGregor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Potts is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! MacGregor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! MacGregor has escaped and now he's on top! Potts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MacGregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Potts working for a triangle but MacGregor defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacGregor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. MacGregor works a leg free and moves into half guard. Potts tries to get to full guard but MacGregor has control of the leg. MacGregor is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Potts! Potts really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Potts tries to lock up and control but MacGregor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. MacGregor lands a heavy elbow. MacGregor is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Potts can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
MacGregor prevents Potts from getting the reversal. MacGregor has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Potts is forced to tap!
