Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilbert Schilt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gilbert Schilt!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schilt throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
Anderson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schilt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schilt off to one side.
Schilt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson misses with a two punch combination.
Anderson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Schilt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Schilt looks to land a body kick but Anderson moved away.
Anderson shoots in but Schilt avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Anderson clobbers Schilt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schilt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Schilt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Schilt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Anderson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Schilt prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Schilt pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Anderson counters with a single leg into guard. Schilt didn't expect that.

Schilt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anderson gets the takedown into side control.
Schilt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Anderson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Schilt counters with a series of strikes. Anderson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard.
Schilt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anderson is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Schilt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Schilt's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Schilt duly obliges.
Schilt drops Anderson with a nice combination! Schilt dives into Anderson's guard, looking to finish!

Schilt stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Anderson counters with a head kick. That will keep Schilt thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Schilt counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Horrible takedown by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Schilt which made him look bad.

Schilt is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Anderson rather than just go for the knockout.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Schilt sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Schilt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Schilt tries to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling the position.

Schilt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anderson pinned against the cage. Anderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Anderson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Anderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schilt sprawls well initially but Anderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schilt keeps working.
Schilt wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schilt looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gilbert Schilt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Anderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Schilt moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Schilt is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Anderson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Schilt lands with a big left! Anderson is wobbled badly! Schilt comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Anderson to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gilbert Schilt!
