Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Johnson!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Builder looks to land a left hand but Johnson moved out of range nicely.

Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Johnson darts in and clinches Builder up against the cage.

Johnson feints and as Builder raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Builder avoids it really well and circles away.

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Builder was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Builder throws out the jab.

Builder swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Builder doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Builder tries to buck Johnson off but he can't manage it.

Johnson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Johnson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Builder manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Johnson stands up and beckons Builder to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Builder stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Builder wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Builder to the mat! Builder manages to get full guard.
Builder wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Johnson postures up in Builder's guard and throws a big left but Builder blocks it.
Bob Builder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Builder will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Johnson stands and steps away. Builder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Builder's waist but Builder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

Johnson forces Builder back against the cage and clinches.

Johnson has clasped his hands together around Builder's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Carl Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
