Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toribio Ezcurra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reed Calhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ezcurra kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sing For The Moment. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toribio Ezcurra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reed Calhart! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calhart has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ezcurra is looking to clinch but Calhart is avoiding it.
Ezcurra dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ezcurra thuds a left hand into Calhart's body. Ezcurra lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Reed Calhart has been cut. A left lands for Ezcurra. Calhart tries to clinch and Ezcurra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ezcurra darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ezcurra is keen to just control but Calhart is a slippery customer. Ezcurra trying to mount his opponent but Calhart defends it. Ezcurra passes to side control. Calhart looks gassed!
 That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Ezcurra stalls from top position.
Ezcurra tries for a kimura but Calhart is defending well. You can see the frustration on Calhart's face as Ezcurra controls the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Calhart is trying to improve his position. Ezcurra taking a breather here. Ezcurra moves into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ezcurra working for a guillotine from mount but Calhart is in no mood to give up. Ezcurra trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ezcurra tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Calhart is working to get back to half guard.
Ezcurra sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Toribio Ezcurra dominated that round. The cut man is working on Reed Calhart's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Calhart misses with a combination
and Ezcurra counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ezcurra. Ezcurra trying to control the position from guard on top but Calhart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The referee stands the fighters back up. Toribio Ezcurra just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Calhart goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Calhart throws the kick towards the body but Ezcurra avoids it. Calhart falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ezcurra counters with a stiff right hand. Ezcurra scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Ezcurra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Calhart looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Calhart is breathing heavily. Ezcurra fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ezcurra wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calhart, who protects the arm well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Calhart gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ezcurra looking to control but Calhart is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ezcurra content just to control the position here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ezcurra looking to control but Calhart is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ezcurra takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
 The referee stands the fighters back up. Toribio Ezcurra just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ezcurra digs a good body shot into Calhart's ribs. Ezcurra lands a slapping body shot.

Ezcurra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ezcurra tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ezcurra has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ezcurra is looking to take a break and control but Calhart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ezcurra moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Toribio Ezcurra dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Reed Calhart's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Toribio Ezcurra is winning the standup battle so far. Ezcurra shoots in for a takedown but Calhart shows good takedown defense. Ezcurra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Reed Calhart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ezcurra stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ezcurra connects with a nice looking jab.
Reed Calhart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ezcurra dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ezcurra digs a good hook to Calhart's body.
Ezcurra looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Calhart! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ezcurra quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Ezcurra but it's paid off an Calhart is forced to tap! Nice work by Ezcurra.
