Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pj veenstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
veenstra shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. koch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
koch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
veenstra chips away with some ground and pound.
veenstra is looking to work some ground and pound but koch has wrist control.
veenstra working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
veenstra decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on koch, up you get!
veenstra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than veenstra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

koch avoids the strikes from veenstra.
koch is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if veenstra gets his way!
koch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
veenstra working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but koch is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and veenstra has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! koch taps out!
