Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Fantana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Greed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apollo Greed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Fantana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Apollo Greed!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greed fails to land with a series of punches.
Greed looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Greed shoots in looking for a takedown. Fantana tries to sprawl out of it but Greed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fantana manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantana scores a takedown into full mount!
Fantana controlling the pace for now.
Fantana seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Greed for as long as he can get away with.

Fantana looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Greed tries to hold on but Fantana pushes him away.
Fantana is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fantana lands a heavy elbow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Greed tries to reverse the position but Fantana maintains control.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fantana cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantana has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Greed is in all sorts of trouble here.

Greed is just holding on here. Fantana manages to take his back.
Fantana controlling the position well here. Greed rolled but Fantana kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Fantana is cranking Greed's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Greed! He's tightened the choke and Greed is tapping out!
