Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Kill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glenn Fiddich!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kill wants it to stay on the feet.
Fiddich misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kill misses with a takedown

and Fiddich counters with a takedown into side control.
Fiddich with the ground and pound but Kill regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Well, if Fiddich is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kill trying to control from the bottom.
Fiddich tries to pass to full mount but Kill defends it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fiddich in particular looking to stall.
Kill trying to control but Fiddich postures up.

Kill is looking for a sweep. Fiddich is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fiddich is trying to control the action in half guard but Kill is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fiddich throwing shots but Kill is blocking nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kill throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fiddich looks gassed!
Kill connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fiddich avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kill has his takedown stuffed

and Fiddich counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kill!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kill can't escape the position.
Fiddich is trying to control here but Kill has managed to regain half guard.
Kill on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kill tries to get out of the position.

Kill makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Kill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fiddich tries to clinch

and Kill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fiddich's guard.

Fiddich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kill's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fiddich wants to get back to his feet but Kill passes into half guard.
Fiddich punching from the bottom.

Fiddich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kill landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fiddich is looking to improve his position.
Fiddich is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kill clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stalling in the clinch from Kill.
Fiddich fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joe Kill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Fiddich.
Fiddich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kill is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kill manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Fiddich works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kill is trying to maintain the position but Fiddich is very close to passing his half guard.
Fiddich wants to take a breather but Kill is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fiddich is just content to waste time from the top position. Kill takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Kill is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kill misses with a takedown attempt

and Fiddich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kill's guard now.
Fiddich is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fiddich looking to sit in guard and control but Kill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fiddich is controlling Kill's posture.

Fiddich working for a triangle but Kill defends it easily.
Kill trying to control but Fiddich is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kill wants to stand but Fiddich is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fiddich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kill manages to get himself to full guard.
Fiddich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fiddich trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Fiddich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kill manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fiddich has Kill in his guard.
Fiddich avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Fiddich has his foot on Kill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kill works his way back into a safe position though.
Kill wants to pass the guard but Fiddich is keeping the position.
Fiddich looking for a sweep. Not yet Fiddich, not yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fiddich looking for a guillotine here but Kill defends easily.
Fiddich can't keep his opponent in guard - Kill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fiddich manages to get to full guard.
Fiddich is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fiddich seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fiddich managing to control the position.
Kill forces his way into half guard.
Fiddich on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Fiddich controlling the position for now.
Fiddich blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kill.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Glenn Fiddich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Fiddich throws a predictable looking body shot

so Kill counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Glenn Fiddich has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fiddich has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Fiddich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kill doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kill manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kill makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Fiddich has momentary wrist control but Kill slips an elbow through the middle.
Fiddich looking for a sweep. Not yet Fiddich, not yet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fiddich throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Fiddich has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kill doesn't defend quickly enough and Fiddich has managed to lock this one up! Can Kill escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fiddich on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Glenn Fiddich!
