Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LaShawn Reddman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reddman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Headstrong. Roy Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, LaShawn Reddman!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reddman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reddman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.
Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reddman's waist but Reddman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.
Reddman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reddman swings for the body but Brown moves out of range.
Reddman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brown throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Brown keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brown lands with a kick to the temple. Reddman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like LaShawn Reddman has been cut.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brown. Reddman shrugs it off though.
Reddman looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown lands a high kick to the side of Reddman's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Brown dives into guard, looking to finish.
Reddman is rocked!
Brown trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brown drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Brown seems to have locked his on tight now - Reddman screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Brown, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Roy Brown!
