Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go to Sleep. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones moves away from the strike by Edgar.

Edgar misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Edgar misses with a few strikes there.
Edgar looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Edgar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edgar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Edgar takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Edgar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.

Oh Edgar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones lands with a cross.
Jones lands a left and a right that send Edgar crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jones closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Edgar! Jones dives in looking to finish! Edgar is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
