Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butter Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Furstenfeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sweet kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Knock Out. Furstenfeld is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Linkin Park - No More Sorrow. The key to victory for Butter Sweet has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charlie Furstenfeld!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Sweet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sweet misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sweet looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sweet fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Furstenfeld avoids a punch combination nicely.

Butter Sweet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furstenfeld is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sweet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Furstenfeld is looking to take a break and control but Sweet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Furstenfeld is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sweet has escaped the position, nice work there.
Furstenfeld fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Furstenfeld wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sweet, who protects the arm well.

Furstenfeld swings around for an armbar but Sweet sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Furstenfeld's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sweet is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Furstenfeld swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sweet is now in Furstenfeld's guard. A big mistake from Furstenfeld there, giving up the dominant position!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sweet wants to stand but Furstenfeld is controlling his posture from full guard.

Furstenfeld is trying to keep Sweet in close.

Charlie Furstenfeld showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sweet goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sweet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Furstenfeld looks to score with a jab to the body but Sweet is just out of range.

so Furstenfeld counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Furstenfeld keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sweet's head.
Furstenfeld controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Furstenfeld is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sweet knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Furstenfeld throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Sweet is not content to let Furstenfeld control the position.
Furstenfeld misses with the ground and pound.
Sweet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Furstenfeld on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Furstenfeld looking to ground and pound but Sweet is blocking nicely.
Sweet is squirming around, avoiding Furstenfeld's attempts to control the action.

Furstenfeld jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sweet is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sweet and Furstenfeld has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Furstenfeld is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sweet knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Charlie Furstenfeld is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Furstenfeld's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
