Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lessman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lessman comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Sin - Into The Fire. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lessman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robbie White!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White misses with a wild combination.
White defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lessman.

Lessman clinches with his opponent.

White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - White has eaten all the pies!
Lessman tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lessman somewhat.
White defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lessman.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lessman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lessman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lessman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lessman shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Brock Lessman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White clinches up with Lessman and pushes him back against the cage.
White throws an elbow that misses.

White breaks from the clinch.
Lessman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by White.

Lessman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. White did well to prevent Lessman getting side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.
White trying to hold on to Lessman's head to control him but Lessman postures up.

Lessman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
White is holding on to half guard well.
White regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lessman.
White seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lessman looking to sit in guard and control but White gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
White wants to pass the guard but Lessman is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Whiteis looking to pass into half guard but Lessman pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lessman is in guard.
White looking to control.
Lessman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lessman throws a strike but White rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lessman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Lessman has wrist control.
White seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
White's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lessman is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Lessman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lessman is looking to stand up but White isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Brock Lessman will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lessman tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lessman somewhat.
Lessman shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense.
White misses with a head kick.
Lessman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

White jumps into guard, dragging Lessman to the mat.
Lessman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
White keeping moving, preventing Lessman from controlling successfully.

White is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
White throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
White tries to close the distance and clinch but Lessman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lessman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away.

White scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

White scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lessman to see if he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lessman misses with a strike from the bottom.
Lessman is looking for a sweep.
White lands a few punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Lessman's face as White controls the position.
White is looking to take a break and control but Lessman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
White scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lessman to see if he's OK.
Lessman prevents White from improving position.

Lessman tries to bench press White off him but White keeps the position.

White is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lessman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lessman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lessman pushes White off and gets back to his feet.
Lessman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lessman defends it nicely.

Lessman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but White sees it coming and defends easily.
Lessman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Lessman is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but White still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, White has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Robbie White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lessman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Lessman steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from White. That one must have hurt.
Lessman tries to clinch but White moves out of range.
No joy there for White, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A combination from White does no damage.

Lessman closes the distance and pushes White back into the cage.
Lessman drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lessman lands a nice leg kick that just misses White's sensitive parts.
Lessman throws a nice looking combination but White bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
White wants to clinch up but Lessman keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White throws a looping overhand right but Lessman ducks down to avoid it.
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lessman lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as White backs up against the cage.
Lessman doesn't succeed with the takedown

and White counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lessman's guard now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White lands a couple of elbows.
White working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
White wants to pass the guard but Lessman is keeping the position.
White looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
White trying to control but Lessman is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lessman controls White momentarily but White frees himself.
Lessman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lessman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lessman tries to hold on but White postures up.
Lessman wants to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Lessman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
White prevents Lessman from getting the reversal.
White controlling the position easily from mount.
White is landing with some decent strikes but Lessman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
White content just to control the position here.
White fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

And that's the end of the fight!
Robbie White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
