Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with Whats New pussy Cat by Tom Jones blaring out of the sound system. Wilcox has chosen Danger: Wildman as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Noel James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacoby Wilcox! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wilcox missing with a left hand there. James was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wilcox darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wilcox is pressing down on James's thigh, looking to free his foot. James is holding on for now. Wilcox is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and James defends it well. James gets full guard. James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wilcox stays in close to James's body and controls the position. Wilcox trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. James working a defensive guard but Wilcox manages to pass into side control anyway.
Wilcox working away. James tries to bench press Wilcox off him but Wilcox keeps the position. James is working hard here to advance position. James can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wilcox shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A big left from James misses. James waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wilcox.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wilcox closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Wilcox pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James misses with a hook. Wilcox ducked under it nicely. Wilcox misses with a low kick. Wilcox cracks James with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. James showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wilcox.
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. James misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James misses with a hook. Wilcox ducks under a wild hook from James. Wilcox shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard. James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilcox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilcox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wilcox trying to control but James is working from the bottom. Wilcox pushes down on James's leg and manages to get into half guard. James is controlling Wilcox's trapped leg to prevent Wilcox from advancing to side control. James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilcox is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
James regains full guard. Nicely done. Wilcox trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilcox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wilcox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Jacoby Wilcox dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wilcox fails with the takedown. James lands with a good body shot. An inside leg kick lands from Wilcox. James misses the jab. Wilcox darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Well, if Wilcox is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
James is trying to maintain the position but Wilcox is very close to passing his half guard. Wilcox is figuring out what he wants to do next. James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. James is controlling Wilcox's trapped leg to prevent Wilcox from advancing to side control. Wilcox moves into full mount! James won't be happy about that! Wilcox has control of James's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and James regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wilcox has hold of James's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and James manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
James is working to get back to half guard.
Wilcox looking to control but James is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. James wants to improve his position but Wilcox is controlling well.
Wilcox wants to work for an arm triangle but James is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wilcox is breathing heavily. Wilcox prevents James from improving his position. James is trying to control but can't.
Wilcox wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working. James manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. James is adopting a defensive guard. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. James preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wilcox passes James's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wilcox seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jacoby Wilcox will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
James throws a shot from downtown. Wilcox moves away and avoids it. James throws a right and a left that Wilcox avoids nicely. James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilcox moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Wilcox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. James throws a nice looking combination but Wilcox bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Wilcox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. James throws a hook but Wilcox avoids it easily. Wilcox drives through with a takedown into guard. James trying to keep a closed guard but Wilcox is proving a slippery customer.
Wilcox slips nicely into half guard. Wilcox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wilcox. Wilcox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James desperately trying to maintain half guard. James is trying to maintain the position but Wilcox is very close to passing his half guard. James gets back to full guard.
Wilcox trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James pulls Wilcox in to control the position. Wilcox controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wilcox wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. Wilcox won't allow James to sweep him here. Wilcox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wilcox is fighting to break James's control of his arms but James is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wilcox throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilcox controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wilcox trying to control but James is working from the bottom. James has Wilcox pulled in close to control his posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilcox looking to pass the guard. Noel James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilcox is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacoby Wilcox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wilcox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
