Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Won Wick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muay Thai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ludwig Won Wick! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai throws a leg kick but Won Wick sees it coming and checks it nicely. Thai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Won Wick misses with a straight left. Muay Thai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Won Wick. Won Wick is trying to get an arm triangle but Thai is defending well. Thai wants to get back to his feet but Won Wick drags him back down. Thai trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Won Wick tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Won Wick decides to stand back up. Won Wick drops his hands momentarily and Thai takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Ludwig Won Wick has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thai swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Won Wick shoots for a takedown but Thai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Won Wick misses with a looping right. Thai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Won Wick manages to avoid it. Thai fails with an attempt to clinch.

Thai has picked Won Wick up and slammed him! Won Wick can't keep hold of the triangle and Thai manages to pass to side control! Won Wick looks gassed! Won Wick tries to bench press Thai off him but Thai keeps the position. Thai stands up and we're back to a striking position. Won Wick misses with a straight right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Thai. Won Wick shrugs it off though. A head kick misses from Thai. Won Wick moves out of range of the body kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Thai.
Thai plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A kick lands to the mid section there for Thai. Won Wick has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thai, right into the meat.
Thai lands a front kick. Thai tries to clinch but Won Wick is having none of it. Won Wick lands an overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thai throws a series of punches but Won Wick moves out of range. Thai scores with a spinning back kick! Thai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Won Wick paws at him with a jab and circles away. Thai pushes Won Wick up against the cage in a clinch. Won Wick blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Thai with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Thai lands an elbow just above Won Wick 's eye. Thai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Won Wick takes one to the chin there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thai is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Thai tries to close the distance and clinch but Won Wick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Muay Thai dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ludwig Won Wick's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Won Wick misses the body punch and Thai counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Won Wick is lucky that one didn't land flush. A jab from Won Wick misses. Won Wick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Muay Thai is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Won Wick scores with a crisp jab that stopped Thai in his tracks. Won Wick throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thai counters with a low kick, right behind Won Wick 's knee. Won Wick avoids the body shot from Thai.
A big left from Won Wick misses. Won Wick takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Thai throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Won Wick is breathing heavily. Thai throws a sloppy head kick and Won Wick moves out of range easily. Thai cracks the inside of Won Wick's front leg. Thai throws a nice looking combination but Won Wick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Won Wick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Thai. Thai lands a head kick. Won Wick smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Won Wick shoots in but Thai avoids the takedown attempt easily. Thai tries to clinch there but Won Wick circles away.
Won Wick walks forward, straight into a front kick from Thai. Thai scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Won Wick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Thai. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Won Wick walks forward, straight into a front kick from Thai. Thai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Thai throws a head kick that half lands.
That has opened up Ludwig Won Wick's cut even more. Thai throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Won Wick. Thai misses with a body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thai looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Danga de danga de dang - Thai scores with a four punch combination! Thai tries a head kick but it misses.

Muay Thai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludwig Won Wick. Thai lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Thai tries to clinch up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Thai moves away from the strike by Won Wick. Nice body kick there by Thai. Thai throws a nice outside leg kick. Thai fails with an attempt to clinch.

Won Wick has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Thai. Thai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Thai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thai misses with a low kick as Won Wick jumps back. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thai, right into the meat.

Thai is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A combination from Thai does no damage. Won Wick sizes up Thai with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. No joy there for Thai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Thai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Won Wick manages to avoid it. Won Wick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Muay Thai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludwig Won Wick. Won Wick shoots in but no luck this time. Ludwig Won Wick has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Thai. An inside leg kick lands from Thai. Thai looks to land a combination but Won Wick avoids it well. Thai is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Won Wick can do to turn this around? Won Wick on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Thai. Thai obviously looking to wear him down.
Won Wick connects with a body shot. Thai clinches. Won Wick's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Thai tries a knee to the head but Won Wick blocks it.
Won Wick pulls guard. Thai is looking to stand up but Won Wick won't let him. Thai decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Won Wick, up you get! Thai goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thai tries to clinch and Won Wick counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Won Wick is working for a submission of some sort.
Won Wick stops Thai from getting back to his feet.
Won Wick wants to pass to mount but Thai is defending the position. Thai is trying to stand.
Won Wick is working for a kimura but Thai is defending it quite comfortably.
Thai is refusing to be controlled, as Won Wick sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Won Wick seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Thai lands a high kick!
The cut above Ludwig Won Wick's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thai. Thai thows a body shot but no joy. Thai throws a sloppy head kick and Won Wick moves out of range easily. Thai tries to bum rush Won Wick with a series of wild strikes but Won Wick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ludwig Won Wick. I think Thai has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
