Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Masters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a head kick that misses.

Henderson tries to keep at a distance but Masters has taken the fight into the clinch.
Masters prevents the takedown attempt.
Henderson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Masters gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Masters ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Masters no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Masters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Masters has his foot on Henderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henderson works his way back into a safe position though.

Henderson wants to pass the guard but Masters is keeping the position.

Masters is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Henderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Masters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Masters looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Henderson is pushing down on Masters's leg trying to pass to half guard. Masters is fighting to maintain full guard but Henderson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Henderson prevents Masters from improving his position.
Henderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Henderson slows the pace down in half guard.
Henderson wants to free his trapped foot but Masters is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masters moves into full guard.

Masters looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Henderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Masters is keeping the position for now.

Henderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Masters is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Henderson, into his guard.

Masters is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Masters is breathing heavily.

Masters slips nicely into half guard.
Henderson gets back to full guard.
Masters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Masters drops back looking for a leg! Henderson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henderson manages to kick Masters off! Masters jumps back into Henderson's guard.

Masters is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Masters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henderson controls Masters momentarily but Masters frees himself.

Masters stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Masters checks a low kick from Henderson.
Henderson keeps the fight on the outside.
Henderson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Henderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Masters should have avoided that one.
Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Henderson misses with a wild body shot.

Henderson scores with a takedown into Masters's guard.
Masters wants to stand but Henderson is controlling the position.
Henderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Henderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Masters is looking to reverse the position.

Check out the look on Henderson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Masters is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Masters is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Henderson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Masters is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dan Henderson!
