Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tai Pei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georg the Caliph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pei might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rad Anthem. Georg the Caliph has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tai Pei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tai Pei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georg the Caliph!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the Caliph closes the distance and clinches up with Pei, looking for a takedown. the Caliph pushes Pei against the cage but Pei circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pei misses with a wild combination.
the Caliph shoots in for a takedown but Pei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

the Caliph shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
the Caliph wants to pass to mount but Pei is defending the position.

the Caliph is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pei has managed to free his arm - good work.

the Caliph is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
the Caliph wants to take a breather but Pei is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pei trying to hold on to the Caliph's head to control him but the Caliph postures up.

the Caliph is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pei has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pei is looking to escape.
the Caliph is looking to take a break and control but Pei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
the Caliph takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Pei darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pei lands with a shot to the body.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Pei as he connects with a hook.
the Caliph looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pei slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
the Caliph ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
the Caliph drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

the Caliph tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pei swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by the Caliph or perhaps it was just good defense by Pei which made him look bad.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pei. the Caliph does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pei uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before the Caliph has time to react.

the Caliph takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
the Caliph shoots in but no luck this time.

Georg the Caliph showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pei throws an uppercut from half a mile away. the Caliph sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Pei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pei throws a hook to the side of the Caliph's head but the Caliph sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

the Caliph takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

the Caliph looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A close third round but Georg the Caliph just about did enough to take it.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Pei ducks down and throws a hook to the body but the Caliph moves away.

Pei stalks the Caliph and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into the Caliph's face. the Caliph staggers backwards, shaken.

the Caliph throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pei was covering up waiting for the punch and the Caliph finishes the takedown easily into guard.
