The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Conca looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Conca is looking for a kimura here.

Conca is looking for a kimura but Mesquita is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Conca to get the leverage.
Mesquita is trying to get back to full guard.

Conca looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mesquita working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Conca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Conca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Conca has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mesquita to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Conca is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mesquita pulls down on the head and he's put Conca to sleep! This one is all over!
