The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostinov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ring sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kostinov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ring as he jumps to the side.
Ring fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kostinov sprawls well initially but Ring persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ring throwing shots but Kostinov is blocking nicely.
Kostinov wants to control but Ring is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ring wants to stand up but Kostinov is controlling the position.

and Kostinov counters with a right hand to the body.
Kostinov works over Ring's head and body with a nice combination.
Ring steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kostinov. That one must have hurt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kostinov. Ring shrugs it off though.
Kostinov lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kostinov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ring throws a lazy head kick
and Kostinov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kostinov.
Kostinov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kostinov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ring can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kostinov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ring knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ring shoots for a takedown but Kostinov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roy Kostinov.
Well Kostinov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
