Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Amrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffe Zampietre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amrus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 50 Cent & Eminem - You Don't Know. 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffe Zampietre! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amrus circles away from the clinch attempt.
Amrus gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amrus creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Zampietre sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Amrus in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Amrus misses with the ground and pound. Amrus is looking to take a break and control but Zampietre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Amrus is trying to ground and pound but Zampietre uses the momentary lack of control by Amrus to regain half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zampietre taking some punishment here, with Amrus in his half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zampietre stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zampietre wants it to stay on the feet. Zampietre moves in looking to clinch but Amrus pushes him off. Zampietre with a poor takedown and Amrus counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zampietre's guard now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zampietre is working to avoid the ground and pound but Amrus connects with a decent elbow. Amrus scoring with punches and elbows.
