Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonus Resi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yomi Sunday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leonus Resi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yomi Sunday! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sunday tries to avoid it but Resi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sunday to the ground. Sunday escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sunday misses with a takedown attempt and Resi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sunday shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Resi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sunday won't allow Resi to get back to his feet. Resi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Resi wants to stand and escape but Sunday is having none of it. Sunday trying to control but Resi is working from the bottom. Sunday wants to pass the guard but Resi is keeping the position. Resi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Resi tries to get out of the position. Sunday looking to sit in guard and control but Resi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Resi tries for a takedown but Sunday circles away easily and Sunday decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Resi's guard. Sunday won't allow Resi to get back to his feet. Resi keeping moving, preventing Sunday from controlling successfully. Sunday trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sunday trying to control the position from guard on top but Resi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Resi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Resi! Resi stands up. Sunday scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Resi is breathing heavily. Resi is refusing to be controlled, as Sunday sits in half guard. Sunday wants to stand but Resi has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. I looks like Sunday might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Resi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Resi tries to stand but Sunday is controlling his head. Resi stands up and beckons Sunday to his feet. Sunday shoots in and bounces Resi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yomi Sunday dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Resi misses with a takedown and Sunday counters with a nice double leg into side control. Resi won't be happy with that. Sunday decides to stand up, so the ref orders Resi to his feet. Sunday scores a takedown into full mount! Resi is trying to stand. Yomi Sunday has got the better of the ground game so far. Resi is squirming around, avoiding Sunday's attempts to control the action. Resi is trying to stand up. Sunday has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Resi's face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sunday won't let Resi get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Sunday landing strikes from the mount and Resi is in trouble! Sunday looking to finish Resi with some ground and pound. This is bad for Resi! Sunday trying to control but Resi is having none of it. BOOM! Sunday connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sunday might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Resi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunday cracks Resi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sunday tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sunday lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Yomi Sunday showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Resi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sunday tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sunday is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Resi is aware though and is defending well. Sunday is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sunday trying to keep a closed guard but Resi is proving a slippery customer.

Resi misses with a takedown attempt and Sunday holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The referee calls for Sunday to work.
Sunday gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Resi regains guard.
Sunday wants to control from the top but Resi keeps moving. Resi wants to stand up but Sunday is controlling him. Sunday must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunday tries to free his leg and advance position but Resi is retaining full guard. Resi wants to get back to his feet but Sunday is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sunday working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sunday works over Resi's head and body with a nice combination. Sunday shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Resi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sunday lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sunday throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Resi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sunday wants to pass the guard but Resi is keeping the position. Sunday wants to control from the top but Resi keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Yomi Sunday comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sunday has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
