Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George St Sharpe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Miller! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Sharpe keeps the fight on the outside. Miller tries to clinch up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from St Sharpe. A head kick misses from St Sharpe. Miller fails in his attempt to clinch. St Sharpe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Miller is trying to stand.
St Sharpe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Miller wants to get back to his feet.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Sharpe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. St Sharpe is defending well for now.

Miller is pressed up against the cage. St Sharpe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Miller down to the mat. Miller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. St Sharpe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. St Sharpe working the head and body with strikes. St Sharpe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. St Sharpe prevents Miller from standing back up.
St Sharpe stands up and beckons Miller to join him on the feet. Jason Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Miller tries to clinch and St Sharpe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. St Sharpe is taking a breather. Miller says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Miller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

St Sharpe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. St Sharpe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Sharpe scoring with strikes to the body and head. St Sharpe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

St Sharpe controlling from mount. St Sharpe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. St Sharpe fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
St Sharpe cracks Miller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
St Sharpe content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Sharpe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George St Sharpe. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Sharpe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miller smiles and moves away.
Miller tries to clinch but fails miserably and St Sharpe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Miller! St Sharpe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. St Sharpe goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Miller is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Sharpe tries to land a sweep but no joy. St Sharpe has Miller pulled in close to control his posture. St Sharpe has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Miller off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Miller tries to clinch but fails miserably and St Sharpe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. St Sharpe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miller walks away with a smile on his face. St Sharpe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. St Sharpe clinches with his opponent.

St Sharpe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. St Sharpe pushes Miller off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Miller looks to clinch and St Sharpe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Miller's guard. Miller is working an open guard so St Sharpe takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. St Sharpe closes the distance and clinches. St Sharpe can't get the takedown.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! St Sharpe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. St Sharpe seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with. St Sharpe drops back looking for a leg! Miller is in trouble here! Miller being controlled against the cage. Miller tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and St Sharpe avoids it. Miller on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
St Sharpe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Miller gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. St Sharpe has Miller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. St Sharpe pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Miller tumbling to the mat - St Sharpe dives into Miller's guard. Miller can't keep his opponent in guard - St Sharpe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! George St Sharpe showed his dominance in that final round. Well St Sharpe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
