Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ilan Matan!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Carter misses its intended target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matan.
Matan moves in looking to clinch but Carter pushes him off.
Matan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Matan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carter pinned against the cage. Carter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Matan closes the distance and clinches up with Carter, looking for a takedown. Matan pushes Carter against the cage but Carter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shawn Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilan Matan.
Carter lands a left and a right that sends Matan crashing to the canvas! Carter dives into mount looking to finish!
Matan is rocked!
It looks like Ilan Matan has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Matan is out cold! Carter jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Carter!
