Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Maclaroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke Miller will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duke Miller!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maclaroy tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Maclaroy moves in looking to clinch but Miller pushes him off.
Maclaroy looks for a takedown but Miller sprawls well.
Miller shoots and misses

and Maclaroy counters with a shoot takedown. Miller fights it but they end up in guard.

and Maclaroy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miller's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maclaroy throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Maclaroy wriggles free and stands up.

Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there.

Miller is working for a kimura but Maclaroy is defending it quite comfortably.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Miller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maclaroy sees it coming and defends easily.

Maclaroy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Maclaroy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Miller is squirming around, avoiding Maclaroy's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Maclaroy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miller is looking to escape.
Miller manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Miller, under a barage of strikes from Maclaroy.
Maclaroy is looking to stall here but Miller recovers full guard.

so Maclaroy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Maclaroy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maclaroy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Miller is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maclaroy pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Miller actively working from the bottom here.
Miller is not content to let Maclaroy control the position.
Maclaroy uses his free foot to push down on Miller's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Miller.

Miller slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Miller won't allow Maclaroy to pass to mount.

Maclaroy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Maclaroy stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maclaroy was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Thomas Maclaroy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Miller is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Maclaroy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Maclaroy has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miller is in trouble now - Maclaroy has advanced to mount!
Maclaroy looking to control but Miller is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Maclaroy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Miller is looking for a sweep. Maclaroy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Maclaroy slows the pace down in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Maclaroy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Maclaroy lands a nice short elbow.
Maclaroy wants to free his trapped foot but Miller is holding on for dear life with his legs.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maclaroy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
