Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Will Kings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Atwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Kings has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Kings! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Atwood! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kings pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Nice shot lands for Atwood. Atwood swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kings shoots in for a takedown but Atwood shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Atwood takes a swing at Kings's ribcage but misses. Kings shoots in but Atwood avoids the takedown attempt easily. No joy there for Atwood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Will Kings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kings slips a jab and a cross from Atwood.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atwood lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Atwood. Atwood scores with the left hand. Kings knows he should have avoided that one. Kings showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Atwood.
Atwood throws a right hand that Kings ducks under and follows up with a left that Kings also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kings tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Atwood connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A head kick misses from Atwood. Kings tries to close the distance and clinch but Atwood swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Atwood lands with a cross. Atwood throws a head kick that half lands.
Atwood misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kings shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Atwood sprawls well. Atwood wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kings gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Kings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Atwood lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Atwood.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atwood takes a kick to the side of the head. A nice leg kick lands there from Atwood. Kings looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atwood is fending him off so far but Kings persists. Nope, Atwood circles away and we're back to standing. Kings takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kings takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Atwood goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Atwood lands a jab to Kings's midsection. Kings scores with a one two! Atwood had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kings shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Atwood as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atwood misses with a double jab
and Kings counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kings. Kings wants to control from the top but Atwood keeps moving. Kings is looking to stand up but Atwood won't let him. Atwood preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kings trying to control but Atwood is working from the bottom. Kings is looking to work some ground and pound but Atwood has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kings looking to sit in guard and control but Atwood gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Atwood controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Atwood dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kings is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Atwood. Atwood misses with a two punch combination.
Kings fails with the takedown. Atwood works over Kings's head and body with a nice combination. Atwood lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Atwood. That's one minute gone in the round. The referee asks Kings politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kings prefers to stall for the moment though. The strikes coming from Kings are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Kings has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The ground and pound from Kings seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kings misses with the ground and pound. Kings has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Atwood throws a nice looking combination but Kings bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Will Kings is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Atwood thuds a left hand into Kings's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A jab from Atwood finds it's way through Kings's defenses. Kings is looking to clinch but Atwood is avoiding it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Atwood. Kings looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atwood is fending him off so far but Kings persists. Nope, Atwood circles away and we're back to standing. Atwood throws a right and a left that Kings avoids nicely. Atwood throws an overhand right that lands on Kings's shoulder, as Kings tries to avoid the shot. Atwood swings for the body but Kings moves out of range.
Atwood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kings is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Atwood tries to get to full guard but Kings has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kings seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Atwood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kings will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Atwood blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kings.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kings seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Atwood is refusing to be controlled, as Kings sits in half guard. Atwood gets full guard. Kings tries to free his leg and advance position but Atwood is retaining full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kings takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Atwood fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ryan Atwood will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kings throws a nice inside leg kick. Atwood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kings misses with a takedown attempt and Atwood counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kings won't be happy with that. Atwood grinds an elbow into Kings's temple. Atwood working the ground and pound. Kings is trying to buck Atwood off. Atwood wants to control but Kings is keeping him busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The referee asks Atwood politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Atwood prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kings wants to control but Atwood postures up. Atwood tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kings moves in looking to clinch but Atwood pushes him off. Atwood scores with a hook. Atwood cracks Kings with a good jab. Atwood leaves Kings with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Atwood ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kings tries a head kick but it misses.
Atwood just misses with a punch to the body.

Kings has his takedown stuffed and Atwood counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kings! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Kings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kings wants to control but Atwood is having none of it. Atwood sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kings is in a horrible position here. Atwood smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ryan Atwood is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Atwood controlling the pace for now. Kings is looking to get to half guard. Ryan Atwood has got the better of the ground game so far. Atwood controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A nice elbow there by Atwood. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kings wants to hold on but Atwood pushes him away. Atwood takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kings tries to get back to half guard but can't. Will Kings has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kings throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Atwood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Atwood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
