The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Detten shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Detten is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Detten lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Detten shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as velazquez sprawls well. velazquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Detten gets slowly back to his feet.
velazquez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
velazquez slaps away a takedown attempt from Detten, before circling back to the center of the mat.
jordy velazquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Detten.
