Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Holden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Onassis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dylan Holden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Onassis! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holden slaps away a takedown attempt from Onassis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Onassis has a takedown stuffed. Holden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Onassis tries to clinch but Holden moves out of range. Andrew Onassis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Onassis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holden's half guard. Onassis thows a huge punch but Holden dodges it nicely.
Onassis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Onassis misses with a head shot. Onassis prevents Holden from getting the reversal. Holden is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Holden wants to control but Onassis is having none of it. Onassis prevents Holden from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onassis wants to control the pace but Holden is squirming around nicely. Holden is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Holden regains half guard. Holden keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Holden makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Holden closes the distance and pushes Onassis back into the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Holden throws an elbow but misses. Holden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Onassis regains guard immediately. Onassis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Onassis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Onassis trying to keep a closed guard but Holden is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Onassis is looking to stand up but Holden isn't so interested in that idea. Holden throws a strike but Onassis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onassis is looking to work some ground and pound but Holden has wrist control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Onassis shoots in but Holden avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dylan Holden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Onassis. Onassis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Holden sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Onassis looks to clinch and Holden counters with a series of strikes. Onassis will be more careful next time no doubt. Onassis wants to clinch but Holden slips to the side so Holden counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Onassis looks gassed! Holden postures up and lands a big shot to Onassis's brow. Holden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Holden stands and steps away. Onassis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Onassis tries to clinch but fails miserably and Holden counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Holden on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Onassis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Holden prevents it.

Holden has a closed guard, preventing Onassis from standing up. Onassis being controlled here momentarily. Holden is looking for a triangle but Onassis pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Onassis throwing strikes from guard but Holden blocks nicely. Onassis won't allow Holden to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dylan Holden dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Onassis with a lazy takedown attempt and Holden counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Onassis! Onassis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Onassis tries to hold on but Holden pushes him away. Holden stands up from mount. Strange move. Onassis tries to clinch but fails miserably and Holden counters with a nice double leg into guard. Onassis has his foot on Holden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Holden works his way back into a safe position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Onassis is trying to control the position but Holden postures up. Holden stands up and waves to Onassis to follow him. Holden moves into the clinch successfully.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holden lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Onassis or not. Onassis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Holden breaks from the clinch.
Holden on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Onassis. Onassis obviously looking to wear him down.
Onassis misses with a takedown and Holden counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Holden. Dylan Holden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Onassis. Holden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Holden distracts Onassis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Onassis wants to control but Holden passes easily into half guard.
Onassis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holden is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holden decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Onassis fails with the takedown and Holden counters with a single leg into guard. Onassis didn't expect that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Onassis looking to control.
Onassis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Onassis is trying to hold Holden in close to prevent damage but Holden has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Holden missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Holden prevents Onassis from improving his position. Onassis is looking to control Holden's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Onassis avoid being mounted?
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Holden. Holden is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Onassis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Onassis can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Onassis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Holden stands up from half guard. Onassis tries to clinch up and Holden counters by clinching up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Onassis gets control of Holden's arms and successfully pulls guard. Onassis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Onassis controls Holden momentarily but Holden frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Holden overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Holden's corner is telling him to maintain position. Holden won't allow Onassis to sweep him here. Holden would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Onassis takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Onassis is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Onassis is looking to get to half guard. Holden content just to control the position here. Holden looking for a guillotine from mount but Onassis is having none of it. Onassis is trying desperately to improve position.
And that's the end of the fight! Dylan Holden showed his dominance in that final round. Well Holden has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
