Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Amanda Munroe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Bloggs!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloggs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Munroe.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Bloggs.
Bloggs tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bloggs has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bloggs works to advance to full mount. Munroe defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Bloggs prevents Munroe from getting the reversal.
Bloggs goes for an armbar but Munroe turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Munroe.
Bloggs is looking for a triangle but Munroe pushes his legs off easily.

Munroe tries to free his leg and advance position but Bloggs is retaining full guard.
Munroe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bloggs controls Munroe momentarily but Munroe frees himself.
Munroe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Munroe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bloggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bloggs has his hands on Munroe's head, controlling the position.
Munroe drops back looking for a leg! Bloggs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bloggs manages to kick Munroe off! Munroe jumps back into Bloggs's guard.
Bloggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Munroe is one step ahead there.
Bloggs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Munroe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Munroe slips nicely into half guard.
Bloggs tries to roll over but Munroe keeps him under control.
Munroe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bloggs wants to improve his position but Munroe is controlling well.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Bloggs wants to get back to full guard.
Munroe is working for a kimura but Bloggs is defending it quite comfortably.
Munroe wants to pass to mount but Bloggs is defending the position.

Bloggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Munroe is trying to work for a kimura but Bloggs is defending well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Munroe throws a body kick that misses.
Bloggs slips a jab and a cross from Munroe.
Bloggs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Munroe tries to avoid it but Bloggs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Munroe to the ground. Munroe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bloggs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Munroe pinned against the cage. Munroe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bloggs moves out of range of the body kick.
A head kick misses from Munroe.
Bloggs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Munroe sprawls well initially but Bloggs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bloggs tries to stand but can't do so whilst Munroe controls his leg.
Munroe tries to get to full guard but Bloggs has control of the leg.

Bloggs stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Munroe to get to his feet.

That's time! Munroe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Munroe fails with the takedown
and Bloggs counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Munroe!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bloggs swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Munroe is now in Bloggs's guard. A big mistake from Bloggs there, giving up the dominant position!
Bloggs trying to keep a closed guard but Munroe is proving a slippery customer.
Munroe passes Bloggs's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Munroe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bloggs is breathing heavily.
Bloggs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Munroe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munroe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Munroe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Munroe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Munroe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Munroe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bloggs can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Bloggs wants to hold on but Munroe pushes him away.

Munroe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bloggs has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Munroe tries to control but Bloggs wriggling away.
Munroe has control of Bloggs's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bloggs regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Munroe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bloggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Munroe has managed to get both his arms back between Bloggs's legs - danger averted.
Bloggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
