PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Havoic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yves Landers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Havoic comes to the cage accompanied by Overkill - Horrorscope. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landers tries for a takedown but Havoic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Landers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Havoic sprawls well initially but Landers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Landers is trying to control the action in half guard but Havoic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Landers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Landers works his foot free and advances to mount.
Havoic is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Landers controlling his opponent.

Let's hope that Landers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Havoic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Havoic closes the distance looking to clinch

and Landers counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Landers decides to stand and escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yves Landers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Havoic wants to clinch

and Landers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Havoic's guard now.
Landers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Landers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Landers keeps the fight on the outside.
Landers tries to clinch up.
Havoic closes the distance but Landers moves to the side
and Havoic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Landers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Milan Havoic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Havoic catches Landers with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Havoic tries to bum rush Landers with a series of wild strikes but Landers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Landers has closed the distance and engaged Havoic in a clinch.

Havoic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Landers moves out of range as Havoic strikes.

and Havoic counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Havoic.
Landers has control of Havoic's left arm, preventing Havoic from doing any damage.
Yves Landers has got the better of the ground game so far.
Havoic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Landers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Havoic works over Landers with some ground and pound from guard.

Havoic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Landers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Havoic has managed to get both his arms back between Landers's legs - danger averted.
Landers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Landers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Havoic is looking to stand up but Landers won't let him.

Landers pushes Havoic off and gets back to his feet.

Landers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Havoic, pushing him back against the cage.

Landers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Havoic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Landers on the ground.
Havoic won't allow Landers to sweep him here.
Havoic wants to pass the guard but Landers is keeping the position.

Havoic working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Havoic throws a strike but Landers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Landers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Havoic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Havoic keeping moving, preventing Landers from controlling successfully.
Milan Havoic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Landers wants to pass the guard but Havoic is keeping the position.

Well Landers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
