Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cedar Creek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Grozny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dimitri Grozny will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grozny misses with the combination.
Grozny looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Creek shoots in and drives through. Grozny sprawls well.
Creek shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grozny defends it nicely.
Creek avoids the head kick by Grozny.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creek takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Grozny thows a body shot but no joy.
Grozny throws a half hearted mid kick.

Grozny stuffs the takedown.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Creek is defended easily by Grozny.
Creek takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Grozny pivots, looking for a leg kick but Creek is out of range and Grozny settles back down.

Grozny gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Creek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Creek thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Creek postures up in Grozny's guard and throws a big left but Grozny blocks it.
Creek throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Creek lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Creek passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Grozny is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Creek lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Creek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Creek is working to tighten is grip on Grozny's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Grozny has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Creek is really squeezing tight and eventually Grozny passes out! Creek breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
