Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Demichelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demichelis has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Forte fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Demichelis, pushing him back against the cage. Demichelis looks gassed! Demichelis takes an elbow to the temple. Demichelis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Forte gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Forte has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Demichelis is trying to keep an underhook but Forte manages to get the takedown into half guard. Forte scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Forte moves into full mount! Demichelis won't be happy about that! Forte avoids the attempt from Demichelis to control. Forte content just to control the position here. Demichelis taking shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Forte controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Demichelis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Forte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Demichelis is looking to escape. Forte working Demichelis over with strikes here. Forte with a couple of short strikes. Forte content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Demichelis is in a horrible position here. Forte smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Forte tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Forte working the ground and pound effectively.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Forte blocks Demichelis's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Forte controlling his opponent. Forte with good strikes from the mount here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Forte connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Forte looking to control but Demichelis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Forte lands a big elbow. Forte trying to control but Demichelis is having none of it. Forte is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Demichelis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Demichelis shrugs it off. Forte content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Forte tries to control but Demichelis wriggling away.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jon Forte just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Forte gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Demichelis takes a knee to the side of the body. Forte works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Forte is looking to stand up but Demichelis won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Forte pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Demichelis is keeping the position for now. Forte stands up from Demichelis's guard - Forte perhaps looking for a knockout. Forte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Demichelis's waist but Demichelis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Forte off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forte closes the distance and clinches up with Demichelis, looking for a takedown. Forte pushes Demichelis against the cage but Demichelis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Forte clinches. Forte changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Demichelis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Demichelis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Demichelis wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Forte. That's going to take a lot out of him. Forte moves into the clinch. Forte keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Demichelis's efforts to push away. Demichelis tries to break free but Forte pushes him back against the cage. Forte decides to pull guard. Forte is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Demichelis wants to control from the top but Forte keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Demichelis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Forte's guard. Forte wants to stand but Demichelis is controlling the position. Forte is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Demichelis trying to control the position from guard on top but Forte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Forte tries to close the distance and clinch but Demichelis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Forte fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Demichelis, pushing him back against the cage. Forte lands a nice knee to the body. Forte pulls guard effortlessly. Demichelis is fighting to break Forte's control of his arms but Forte is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Forte kicks Demichelis off and gets to his feet. Forte is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Forte working Demichelis over with knees to the body. Forte putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Demichelis in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Forte with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Forte is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Demichelis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Forte lands a good knee to the midsection. Demichelis won't want to take too many of those. Forte escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice takedown defense from Demichelis. No joy for Forte on that attempt. Forte tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Demichelis dips to his left and cracks Forte with an uppercut! Forte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Demichelis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Demichelis looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Forte trying to stand up but can't free himself from Demichelis's guard. Demichelis trying to control the position.
Forte is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Forte wanted to stand there but Demichelis had control of the position. Demichelis is trying to keep Forte in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Forte dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Forte has closed the distance and engaged Demichelis in a clinch.
Forte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Forte throws a sloppy head kick and Demichelis moves out of range easily. Forte fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Demichelis, pushing him back against the cage. Forte scores with a hook to the body. Forte leaning his opponent against the cage. Forte has picked Demichelis up - he's going for a ride! Forte dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Forte seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Forte trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Forte wants to take a breather but Demichelis is having none of it. Forte trying to mount his opponent but Demichelis defends it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Demichelis wants to get back to full guard. Forte stalling. Forte decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Forte feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Forte is stalling in the full guard. Forte with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Demichelis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Forte can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Demichelis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Forte is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Demichelis. Forte trying to control the action but Demichelis is working from the bottom. Forte is really struggling to control Demichelis but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Forte is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Demichelis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Forte scores with a couple of short elbows. Demichelis is looking for a sweep. Demichelis is not content to let Forte control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Forte stands up and we're back to a striking position. Forte tries to clinch there but Demichelis circles away.

Forte gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Forte has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Demichelis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Forte is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Demichelis defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Forte showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Forte, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
