Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grant Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grant Fletcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Rock! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fletcher moves in looking to clinch but Rock pushes him off. Rock tries to clinch and Fletcher moves into the clinch. Fletcher tries to break free but Rock pushes him back against the cage. Fletcher is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rock is keeping busy. Rock works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Fletcher controls Rock momentarily but Rock frees himself. Rock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Fletcher will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rock showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fletcher looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rock sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rock preventing the sweep. Rock looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Rock looking to pass the guard. Rock showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Bob Rock just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rock shoots in for a takedown but Fletcher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice body kick there by Fletcher. Fletcher has managed to clinch.
Fletcher is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Fletcher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Fletcher is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fletcher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rock controls the pace. Rock looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rock's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Rock has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Fletcher can't keep his opponent in guard - Rock advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Fletcher pushes Rock off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fletcher looks to clinch and Rock decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fletcher's guard. Fletcher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rock wants to pass the guard but Fletcher is keeping the position. Fletcher wants to sweep but no luck. Fletcher trying to keep a closed guard but Rock is proving a slippery customer.
Rock trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fletcher being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Rock dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rock darts in trying to clinch and Fletcher counters with a leg kick. Rock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fletcher defends it nicely. Fletcher scores with a sloppy right hand. Rock should have avoided that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fletcher shoots and misses and Rock moves into the clinch. Rock tries for a takedown but Fletcher manages to get underhooks.
Grant Fletcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Rock. Rock fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rock misses with a knee to the head. Fletcher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rock backwards. Fletcher with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rock gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fletcher being controlled here, momentarily. Fletcher can't keep his opponent in guard - Rock advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Rock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fletcher knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rock is taking a breather. Fletcher says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rock is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fletcher is looking to improve his position.
Fletcher actively working from the bottom here. Rock takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fletcher has a couple of punches blocked by Rock.

Rock tightens his grip and picks Fletcher up, before dumping him to the ground. Fletcher manages to land in guard. Rock showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fletcher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rock is aware though and is defending well. Fletcher is trying to control the position but Rock postures up. Rock is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock preventing the sweep. Rock is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fletcher is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fletcher has escaped and now he's on top! Rock has his foot on Fletcher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fletcher works his way back into a safe position though. Rock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fletcher is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Rock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Fletcher sizes up Rock with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rock is nestled in close to Fletcher, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rock is controlling the pace.

Fletcher leaves Rock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fletcher closes the distance and clinches up with Rock, looking for a takedown. Fletcher pushes Rock against the cage but Rock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rock thows a leg kick but Fletcher checks it and Fletcher counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rock's guard now. Rock wants to sweep but no luck. Rock has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bob Rock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock looking to sweep here. No luck so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rock holds on and takes a little breather. Fletcher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bob Rock has got the better of the ground game so far. Rock seems keen to control Fletcher's posture. Rock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rock has a closed guard, preventing Fletcher from standing up. Rock has his hands on Fletcher's head, controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bob Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fletcher connects with a right hand. Rock shakes it off. Grant Fletcher is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Grant Fletcher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rock controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Rock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Rock winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
