Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rhodes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

gomez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rhodes defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

gomez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rhodes, who protects the arm well.
gomez is trying to move to mount but Rhodes reverses beautifully and ends up in gomez's guard.

Rhodes throws and elbow that misses. gomez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rhodes's guard. Nice move by gomez!

That was a close round but I would say that Will Rhodes will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

gomez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rhodes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time gomez.

Rhodes is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

gomez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rhodes dives on top into guard.

Rhodes drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Rhodes as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! gomez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Rhodes! Nice submission victory there!
