Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Marston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Walsh! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marston. Marston ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Walsh throws a right and a left that both miss. John Marston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marston throws a one two combo.
It looks like Billy Walsh has been cut. Marston steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walsh. Walsh on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Walsh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Walsh misses with a wild combination.
Walsh is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marston. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Walsh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walsh throws a big shot that misses. Marston lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Marston throws a nice looking combination but Walsh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Marston swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Walsh. Walsh misses the shot to the body. Marston throws a series of punches but Walsh moves out of range. Marston misses with a two punch combination.
Marston paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Walsh misses with a double jab.
Marston thuds a left hand into Walsh's body. A decent looking cross lands there for Marston. Marston ducks right into an uppercut from Walsh. Walsh looks gassed! No joy there for Marston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Walsh throws a combination that misses and Marston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Walsh is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Marston does no damage. Walsh is still on wobbly legs! Can Marston finish him? A head kick by Marston - that's a beauty! Walsh is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Marston can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Marston!
