Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Nanahara!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanahara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Michinoku but Michinoku pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A head kick from Michinoku lands but Nanahara takes it in his stride.
Michinoku jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nanahara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Michinoku moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nanahara misses with a kick to the body.
Kenta Michinoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nanahara moves out of range of the body kick.
Michinoku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Michinoku avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Michinoku connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nanahara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Michinoku.
Michinoku blocks the body kick.
Michinoku lands a jab to the head.
Michinoku throws a head kick but Nanahara moves out of range.
Whack! Michinoku lands a heavy head kick that drops Nanahara. The ref tackles Michinoku to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Nanahara was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Kenta Michinoku!
