The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekker fails to land with a series of punches.
Rekker swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Rekker is holding on tight.
Silva tries to stand up but Rekker had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard.
Rekker is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva wants to improve his position but Rekker is controlling well.

Rekker decides to stand and escape the position.

Rekker tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rekker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Silva is out of range.

Rekker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Rekker getting side control.
Rekker wants to pass the guard but Silva is defending well.

Rekker maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Silva could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rekker has cracked it and Silva is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rekker!
