Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Montgomery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fernando Ribeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Montgomery! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Montgomery. Ribeiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Montgomery. Ribeiro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Ribeiro throws a strike but Montgomery rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Montgomery is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ribeiro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ribeiro has escaped and now he's on top! Ribeiro throwing strikes from guard but Montgomery blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Montgomery keeps moving. Montgomery looking for a sweep. Not yet Montgomery, not yet. Ribeiro content to stall in guard here. Montgomery keeping moving, preventing Ribeiro from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Montgomery avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Montgomery keeping moving, preventing Ribeiro from controlling successfully. Ribeiro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ribeiro drives through and clinches with Montgomery against the ropes.
Ribeiro lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ribeiro gets control of Montgomery's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ribeiro will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Montgomery won't allow Ribeiro to get back to his feet. Ribeiro keeping moving, preventing Montgomery from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montgomery is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Montgomery looks gassed! Ribeiro is looking to stand up but Montgomery isn't so interested in that idea. Ribeiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Montgomery defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Montgomery is desperately trying to improve his position but Ribeiro has a good base and remains in mount. Ribeiro scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ribeiro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Montgomery looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ribeiro landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Montgomery misses with a takedown and Ribeiro counters with a takedown into side control. Ribeiro has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ribeiro looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ribeiro prevents Montgomery from improving his position. Ribeiro is looking to take a break and control but Montgomery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ribeiro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Montgomery does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Montgomery wants to get back to his feet.

Ribeiro not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ribeiro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ribeiro is thwarting Montgomery's attempts to control the position.

Ribeiro throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Montgomery because Ribeiro loaded up on that one. Ribeiro throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Ribeiro dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ribeiro punching from mount but Montgomery doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ribeiro breaks from Montgomery's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ribeiro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Montgomery has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ribeiro wants to control the pace but Montgomery is squirming around nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ribeiro lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Montgomery is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ribeiro cracks Montgomery with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ribeiro controlling his opponent. Montgomery is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Marcus Montgomery has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Montgomery is in all sorts of trouble here.
Montgomery tries to lock up and control but Ribeiro gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Montgomery might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ribeiro kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montgomery is squirming around, avoiding Ribeiro's attempts to control the action. Ribeiro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Montgomery has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Ribeiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Montgomery on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montgomery swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Fernando Ribeiro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ribeiro looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Fernando Ribeiro showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ribeiro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
