Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coleman is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Coleman circles away and we're back to standing. Coleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Coleman tries to clinch up. Coleman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Coleman tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Coleman. Coleman wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away. Coleman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman takes the fight into the clinch. Brown is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Coleman pulls him back up using the underhooks. Brown has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Coleman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Tommy Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Brown. Brown tries to pull guard but Coleman holds him up against the ropes and eventually Brown drops back down to his feet.
Coleman dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes. Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Coleman smiles and moves away.
Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coleman to the mat! Coleman manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea. Coleman trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Coleman striking from the bottom.
Brown thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Brown pushes down on Coleman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Coleman is looking for a sweep. Brown is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Coleman looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Brown wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman is trying to control but Brown passes into side control!
Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Coleman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Coleman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A solid body kick from Coleman. Tommy Coleman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Coleman moves into the clinch. Coleman is pressed up against the ropes. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Coleman down to the mat. Coleman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Brown looks gassed! Coleman moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. A head kick misses from Coleman. Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Coleman. Tommy Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coleman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coleman wants to clinch. Coleman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Coleman throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease. Coleman wants to clinch. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Coleman!

Coleman throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Brown's head. Coleman digs a good body shot into Brown's ribs. Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away. Coleman wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Coleman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Coleman. A punch combination from Coleman misses. Coleman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Coleman. Tommy Coleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tommy Coleman is winning the standup battle so far. Coleman instigates a clinch. Coleman lands a nice shot to the body. Brown goes for a takedown in the clinch but Coleman prevents it.
Douglas Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coleman lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Coleman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
