Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucky Strike! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strike tries to clinch there but Martin circles away.
Martin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Martin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Strike is trying to stand.
Martin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Martin wants to free his trapped foot but Strike is holding on for dear life with his legs. Martin is working hard here to advance position. Strike blocking the ground and pound attempt from Martin. Martin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Martin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Strike's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Martin misses with a two punch combination.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Martin. Martin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Strike is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Martin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Martin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Strike sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Strike wants to get back to his feet but Martin drags him back down. An elbow from Martin crashes against the mat.

Lucky Strike is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Strike connects with a high kick. Martin keeps the fight on the outside. Martin thows a body shot but no joy. Strike tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martin swats him away and circles back towards the center. A slapping body kick lands there for Strike. Martin swats away the attempt to clinch by Strike. Strike tries to close the distance and clinch but Martin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strike throws a head kick but Martin moves out of range.
Strike wants to clinch. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Strike tries to clinch there but Martin circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strike wants to clinch but Martin slips to the side and Martin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Strike! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Strike really wants to buck Martin off and get back to his feet. Martin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. You get the feeling that Strike really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Martin goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Strike turns into him and now he's in Martin's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strike prevents Martin from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jim Martin will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Strike lands with a kick to the temple. Martin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Martin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Strike gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A frustrated look appears on Martin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Strike unloads a knee to the mid-section. Martin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Strike connects with a nasty looking knee right to Martin's face.

Martin wanted to stand there but Strike had control of the position. Martin postures up in Strike's guard and throws a big left but Strike blocks it. Strike utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Martin wants to stand but Strike is controlling his posture from full guard. Strike really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Martin stops Strike from standing up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fight moves into the clinch position. Strike putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Martin in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Strike is looking to control Martin's arms but Martin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Strike has his back to the ropes.

Martin feints and as Strike raises his hands in defense, Martin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Martin prevents Strike from getting back to his feet. Martin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Strike works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Strike is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Martin throws a strike but Strike rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martin has his foot on Strike's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strike works his way back into a safe position though. Martin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Martin striking off his back but it's not causing Strike any problems. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strike won't allow Martin to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Lucky Strike comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Strike has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
