The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote moves in looking to clinch but Gretzski pushes him off.
Cote fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gretzski misses with a straight left.
A combination from Gretzski does no damage.
Cote shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gretzski as he jumps to the side.
Cote gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cote jumps guard but Gretzski stands there with Cote around his waist. Cote gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cote is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Cote. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cote breaks from the clinch.
Gretzski throws a looping overhand right but Cote ducks down to avoid it.
A nice combination there by Gretzski.
Cote is looking to clinch.
Gretzski slaps away a takedown attempt from Cote, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cote shoots for a double leg takedown but Gretzski sprawls well. He's pushed Cote's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cote uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gretzski.
Cote tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gretzski throws a body punch but Cote moves out of range.
Cote shoots for a double leg takedown but Gretzski sprawls well. He's pushed Cote's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cote works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cote tries for a takedown but Gretzski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cote really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cote uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gretzski.
Cote on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gretzski lands with a nice combination. Cote backs away looking to recover.
Gretzski stalks Cote and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cote's face. Cote staggers backwards, shaken.
Cote is rocked!
Gretzski is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Cote hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
