Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Neilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke comes to the cage accompanied by Star Wars - Imperial March. Neilson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Who Run This- 50 cent. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Locke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Neilson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Locke loads up on a big right hand but Neilson slips the punch. No joy there for Neilson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Locke tries a head kick but it misses.
Neilson throws a hook but Locke avoids it easily. Neilson slips a jab and a cross from Locke.
Neilson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Neilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Locke throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Locke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Neilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Locke is tightening it up a little... Neilson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Neilson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Neilson taps out! nice BJJ there by Locke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). John Locke!
