Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noburo Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jenkins's choice of entrance music: Hostile Mass. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rick Jenkins enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.

Kobayashi gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jenkins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kobayashi regains guard immediately.
Kobayashi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kobayashi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jenkins is fighting to break Kobayashi's control of his arms but Kobayashi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kobayashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jenkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kobayashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jenkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kobayashi pushes Jenkins off looking to stand but Jenkins dives back in and keeps control.

Jenkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kobayashi is just riding it out for now. Jenkins eventually gives up the hold.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kobayashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kobayashi is looking to control Jenkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kobayashi avoid being mounted?

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kobayashi holds on and takes a little breather.

Kobayashi is looking for a triangle but Jenkins pushes his legs off easily.
Jenkins wants to stand but Kobayashi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jenkins drops back looking for a leg! Kobayashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kobayashi manages to kick Jenkins off! Jenkins jumps back into Kobayashi's guard.

Jenkins lands some shots froms side control.


It looks like Noburo Kobayashi has been cut.

Jenkins decides to stand back up. Jenkins steps back and let's Kobayashi get back to his feet.
Kobayashi tries to clinch up.

Kobayashi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jenkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jenkins tries to clinch up but Kobayashi circles away and keeps his distance.
Kobayashi looks for a takedown but Jenkins sprawls well.

Jenkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kobayashi is looking to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jenkins drops an elbow to the side of Kobayashi's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jenkins is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kobayashi has managed to free his arm - good work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jenkins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jenkins.

Jenkins postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kobayashi is trying to keep Jenkins in close.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kobayashi is trying to control the position but Jenkins postures up.

Jenkins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Noburo Kobayashi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kobayashi drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kobayashi as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jenkins screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kobayashi! Nice submission victory there!
