Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Wankerl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wankerl kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon scores with a takedown into Wankerl's guard.
Wankerl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wankerl working for a triangle but Gordon defends it easily.
Wankerl wants to sweep here but Gordon controlling him for the moment.
Wankerl had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gordon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wankerl Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gordon's back instead.
Gordon tries to roll but Wankerl sticks to his back.

Gordon defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Gordon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Gordon turns into Wankerl and is now in his guard.
Wankerl has his foot on Gordon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gordon works his way back into a safe position though.
Gordon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gordon wants to get up but he can't break Wankerl's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wankerl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
