The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moye throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thates moves in looking to clinch but Moye pushes him off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Moye. Thates does a little dance to reset his feet.
Moye throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thates wants to clinch.
Thates shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moye sprawls well. Moye wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thates gets slowly back to his feet.
Moye shoots for a double leg takedown but Thates sprawls well. He's pushed Moye's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thates shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moye as he jumps to the side.

and Moye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Thates tries to lock up and control but Moye gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Thates sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Anthony Moye is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moye is defended easily by Thates.

Well Moye has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
