Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manox Jamir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jake podgo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jamir might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SCAR TISSUE. Manox Jamir has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamir keeps the fight on the outside.
podgo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jamir avoids it really well and circles away.
podgo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
podgo misses with a takedown attempt - Jamir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
podgo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jamir swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
podgo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - podgo has eaten all the pies!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jamir breaks podgo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jamir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Jamir has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of podgo is proving hard to escape from.

podgo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jamir!

and Jamir makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Jamir counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Jamir counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
podgo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jamir has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of podgo is proving hard to escape from.
