The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoost moves in looking to clinch but Aguilar pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Hoost looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aguilar works the jab nicely. Hoost tries to clinch but Aguilar moves out of range. Hoost doesn't manage to clinch there - Aguilar circles away.

Aguilar gets the takedown into side control. Aguilar tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hoost's legs. Hoost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aguilar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Aguilar works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Aguilar has hold of Hoost's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hoost tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Aguilar cranks the arm and Hoost screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hoost, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
