Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cliff Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and gerf gdfd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner shoots in looking for a takedown. gdfd tries to sprawl out of it but Wagner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. gdfd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

gdfd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wagner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

gdfd wants to advance to full mount but Wagner doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Wagner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? gdfd is fending him off so far but Wagner persists. Nope, gdfd circles away and we're back to standing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and gdfd counters with a single leg into guard. Wagner didn't expect that.
gdfd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wagner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wagner uses the cage to get back to his feet.

gdfd drives through with a takedown into guard.
gdfd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
gdfd sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wagner's guard.
Wagner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of gdfd's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take gdfd's back!

gdfd is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wagner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wagner!
