Di Federico comes to the ring accompanied by Das Omen (E Nominem). The crowd seem to be enjoying Welles's choice of entrance music: Thomas the Tank Engine vs. Biggy Smalls. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welles blocks a head kick by Di Federico.
Di Federico shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Welles napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Di Federico is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Welles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Di Federico tries to advance to mount but Welles denies him.
Welles is looking for a sweep.
Di Federico is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Welles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Di Federico is looking to take a break and control but Welles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Di Federico in side control, throwing shots but Welles defends.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Welles wants to stand and escape but Di Federico is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Welles throws a one two combo.
Welles cracks Di Federico with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Welles has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Di Federico to stand back up!
Di Federico is rocked!
Di Federico dodges the punch combination from Welles.
Oh Di Federico is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Welles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Di Federico shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Welles is trying to defend but Di Federico finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Di Federico seems to have got his legs back now.
Di Federico trying to pass the guard but Welles defending well.

Welles looks like he's trying to stand up.
Welles avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Di Federico.
Di Federico is working for a kimura but Welles is defending it quite comfortably.
Welles is looking to escape.

A close round but Orson Welles will probably get the nod.

Orson Welles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Welles keeps Di Federico at a distance using the push kick.
Welles is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Di Federico hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
