Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between LJ Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs comes to the cage accompanied by LJ Gibbs. Phil Griffin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gibbs showed some decent athleticism there.
Griffin tries to roll over but Gibbs keeps him under control.
Gibbs seems to be looking for submissions.
Gibbs looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gibbs is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Griffin is looking for a sweep. Gibbs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Griffin is trying to stand back up but Gibbs is controlling him
Gibbs wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gibbs connects with a nice short shot to Griffin's temple.
Griffin tries to roll over but Gibbs keeps him under control.
Griffin is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffin pushes Gibbs off looking to stand but Gibbs dives back in and keeps control.
Gibbs sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Griffin defending well though.
Griffin is staying active underneath Gibbs, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gibbs is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Griffin tries to get to full guard but Gibbs has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Griffin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Gibbs counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gibbs trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gibbs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gibbs thows a big elbow that misses.
Gibbs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Griffin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Griffin has escaped and now he's on top!
Griffin wants to stand and escape but instead Gibbs has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Griffin has momentary wrist control but Gibbs slips an elbow through the middle.
Gibbs wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gibbs gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Griffin shoots and misses
and Gibbs counters with a nice low kick that buckles Griffin's knee momentarily.
Griffin looks gassed!
Gibbs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gibbs is keen to just control but Griffin is a slippery customer.
Griffin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gibbs maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Griffin could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gibbs has cracked it and Griffin is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gibbs!
